PHP/MYSQL Web Programming Intern
Two- three intern positions are now open for computer science and programming majors. We are accepting resumes along with brief bios from students with knowledge of PHP and MYSQL. In a supervised environment, students will work directly with in-house programming staff on real client projects, developing web-based applications.
Students will learn how to work in a professional and creative production environment for a Business-To-Business Advertising/Web Agency. Students will be given one to two direct assignment projects that will be monitored and reviewed during the development process to assist with our current work load. Candidates will also work with a professional design team in integrating back end applications to front end architecture.
Qualifications:
- Extensive PHP programming knowledge, including knowledge of PHP5
- Extensive knowledge of MySQL, including data insertion/extraction, table optimization and database management
- Knowledge of open-source javascript libraries a plus
- Students with fundamental knowledge in working with database management, content and contact management systems and other aspect of web development a plus.
- Must have knowledge of HTML using web-compliant standards
- Front end architecture development and programming is a plus but not a requirement.
- Basic CSS knowledge (Advanced knowledge of CSS2 preferred)
- Experience in working with Open source platforms (such as Drupal) or custom-based content and contact management systems a plus but not a requirement.

New Business Intern
We are a small, business-to-business advertising agency in Huntingdon Valley, PA and we're looking for a bright and motivated individual to assist us with our new business development efforts. Interning at Praxis offers an introduction to all aspects of marketing communications and an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
The main responsibility of the intern will be to update and qualify our new business list by making phone calls and entering data. Other responsibilities include assisting the agency President and staff with marketing, creative, and public relations.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is important. Candidates should be organized, enjoy working with people, and have a pleasant phone manner. This is an unpaid internship.
